Welcome to the Consulate of the State of Kuwait:
Our work consists of the legalization of official documents as well as issuing visas. There are two types of visas to enter to Kuwait: business visa and tourist visa.
If you want to get a Tourist Visa there are two ways to do it:
-
If you intend to stay in a hotel, it is the hotel that arranges your visa. You will get a copy of your visa by fax and the original will be stamped into your passport upon your arrival to Kuwait.
-
If you are invited by a Kuwaiti citizen there are two ways of procedure. Either the person inviting you arranges the visa and sends a copy of it by fax, which you take with you (the original will be stamped into your passport on your arrival) or he sends an invitation letter to the consulate by fax and it is the consulate that will issue the visa after receiving the approval of the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait (this process takes 7-10 days).
If you want to get a Business Visa the company inviting you can arrange your visa and you can get it at the airport.
If the company doesn’t arrange the visa, you can get your business visa directly at the airport (don’t forget to take your invitation letter with you!) if you are citizen of the countries listed bellow:
In Europe, these are Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark,
Finland, France,
Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein,

Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the Vatican. In addition, nationals from Australia,
Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand,

South Korea in Asia, as well as those from the United States of
America and Canada.
If you are not a citizen of the above-mentioned countries and your inviting company does not arrange you your visa, you can obtain it from our consulate.
